Paul ran a magazine and now a restaurant outside of Chicago and many years ago I took photos and wrote a dandy of a hilarious column for him. We try to find hope in the cornucopia of chaos and anxiety as we talk about how great America can be for immigrants but the idea of American Exceptionalism is being obliterated as we speak and how we need smart, businesses minded immigrants to keep the economy going. Know one thing. Foreign students pay triple what the average American pays. Not to mention all the money they spend in this country and our customs and border control treats everyone like crap.
